Hi there!

My Name is Evan Gallagher, I’m a Graphic Designer originally from Bethel, Connecticut. Last Spring I graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with a degree in Graphic Design and a passion for creation.

From a young age I knew I enjoyed making things and being able to share them with the people around me. Whether it was it was my parents coming to my second-grade art show or drawing cartoons for my friends, there was nothing that brought me more joy. Every kid when they’re young is asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. My go-to answer was usually an astronaut (how original right?) But one day the answer became “I want to be a Graphic Designer”. I didn’t know a single piece of what that might entail but whether it was fate or another force guiding me in the right direction, I’m where I am today because younger me was somehow certain of one thing.

My interest in Ogilvy

After graduating and searching for work I discovered the opportunity to intern with Ogilvy which is exactly the opportunity that I’m looking for: a chance to learn and work with not just a great agency but the best. Ogilvy has been the gold standard for Brand Design and communication for over 75 years. The opportunity to intern with Ogilvy and the best in the business would be a dream come true.

But I’m not just a dreamer, I’m a doer. Of course I envision and daydream what the future could be like but I’m focussed on turning “What Could Be” into “What Is”. My insatiable desire to learn so that I may contribute to those around me and create the best work possible is what drives me every day. I believe that design and branding have an ability to evoke emotions otherwise not found anywhere else.

I truly enjoy all things design from techniques, strategy, typefaces, trends, and communicating with people about it. Most people consider me equally analytical and empathetic with everything I do. I believe that my unique experiences and perspectives will be helpful at Ogilvy and I’m excited to share them.
